Welcome to our labWe are proudly part of the Oregon Health and Science University, a public institution that has approximately 1,250 principal investigators performing cutting-edge research, as well as providing quality health care services and education to the Pacific Northwest community.
The School of Dentistry, at where we are housed, is located at the new state-of-the-art Robertson Life Sciences Building (RLSB) that was designed to offer a diverse, collaborative, and multidisciplinary environment in order to promote integration of basic and clinical sciences.

Fugolin lAB Mission, Vision and Values
Dental Biomaterials field urges the development of therapeutic materials capable of interacting dynamically with the host microenvironment. Therefore, our mission is to design, synthesize, and validate bioresponsive synthetic systems able to induce minute, orchestrated physicochemical and biological responses to external and internal stimuli.
|
We envision a novel generation of Multi-Functional Stimuli-Responsive Dental Biomaterials. To help achieve this, we strive to:
1. Develop self-healing restorative polymers; 2. Design stimuli-responsive and theranostic nanoplatforms for selective delivery of therapeutic agents aimed at preventing and/or ceasing dental tissues destruction; 3. Introduce a protein-based toolkit for modulating immune responses and restoring hemostasis in oral diseases characterized by tissues destruction. |
We firmly believe that workplace diversity ensures creativity, innovation and strength in terms of intellectual capital.
Our goal is to foster diverse pool of staff and mentees, open a thoughtful dialogue that nurtures understanding across differences, and provide training, mentoring and resources to encourage a workplace where all members feel welcome, valued, and stimulated to develop their potentials. |
